Over ANY IP Network,
including (existing PC networks) or Private wide-area networks
AudioTX Communicator
gives live single or bi-directional audio connections over IP networks.
Communicator is the only available IP codec that offers the same
robust, live high-quality audio over IP as broadcasters have come
to expect over ISDN.
Point-to-point connections between two Communicator systems, or
use our Multicast functionality to send audio to multiple locations
on the network. AudioTX will also run over private leased lines
- either those natively running IP or those using a device which
provides a WAN connection over the circuit.

| Over ADSL/DSL/Cable Modem/Leased line Internet
AudioTX Communicator
allows you to make a live audio connection over the Internet using
your choice of high speed connection.
On ADSL or Cable modem, you should check what your maximum connection
speed is both up and downstream. You will normally be able to achieve
an audio bitrate of around 20% less than the lower of these figures
- though this does depend on how much bandwidth your provider is
actually giving you.
- Uncompressed
linear audio (PCM) in Mono or Stereo modes
- MPEG2 in
Mono/Stereo/Joint Stereo modes at up to 384kbps

Over ATM/Large scale telco networks
AudioTX Communicator
uses the existing networking setup of the PC it runs on for audio
transport, giving you absolute flexibility - so you can use
dedicated or existing network connections in place of current (expensive)
permanent audio circuits. WiFi, Spread spectrum IP radios, ATM,
Sattelite, T1/E1 etc - as long as it presents an IP network connection
capable of carrying TCP packets on the PC.
